Our Dyer Dene

Our new conservatory
Whenever Dyer Dene is not let, we go there to unwind. Once out of the car, the peace is immediate. Unload, put the kettle on and relax in front of an open fire in winter or in the privacy of the garden in summer.

There's a different walk for every day of the week and the trees, flowers and birds are truly amazing, with the limestone cliffs as an attractive background.
Put some nuts out and a woodpecker turns up to feed along with all the smaller birds. Overhead, buzzards circle and, in the field at the back, the occasional deer can be seen at dawn or dusk.
We spend every Christmas up here with the family. Whatever the weather, a walk is compulsory before settling down in front of the fire.
Our guest love it as much as we do and become frequent visitors. This year our cottage has become the venue for a writer's group and Ben uses it for his 'Lad's Weekends' which he describes as 'Last Of The Summer Wine'events!
