Dyer Dene is a comfortably funished, typical Lakeland style cottage set in beautiful surroundings at the south end of the Winster Valley . The view to the front is of open fields and woodlands whilst at the back can be seen the imposing limestone cliffs of Whitbarrow Scar.
The countryside is rich in wild plants and animals and Morecambe Bay and the coast are just two miles way.
A maze of footpaths provide excellent walking over a varied terrain and there are several good inns and eating establishments close at hand.
The National Trust house and gardens at Sizergh are nearby as are the ancient pele tower and gardens of Levens Hall. Kendal with excellent entertainments, shopping, sports centre and museums makes an ideal centre for a rainy day .
Lake Windermere is about twenty minutes drive away and good roads provide easy access to all parts of the Lake District.
